But if Valentine’s Day has seemed to slip your mind, don’t get in too much of a panic. Here are a few tips that will help you disguise the fact you might have forgotten:

•    Give the place a quick clean and lay the table nicely. Presentation means everything. If you have a nicely laid table it will look as if you have been planning it all the time.
•    Nip down the local shop and grab some ingredients. Anything you make will be appreciated, so don’t worry if you haven’t had time to prep for a three course meal.
•    While you are at the local store, there are sure to be some flowers you can buy.  Even if they aren’t roses, the thought is still there!
•    Ask her to bring a DVD round of her choice. Yes, that does mean you have to watch a girly romantic film, but it is Valentine’s Day after all!
