It’s so exciting when you are preparing for a Halloween party!  You have organised your Halloween outfit, you have all your accessories ready and all the recipes to make your party spooky, eerie and unforgettable. But what about your house? Follow these simple steps and you will have your house dressed for Halloween in no time!

Step 1

The simplest and most effective way to create an eerie atmosphere is to grab as many black bin liners as possible and buy some dim lit light bulbs. With the black bin liners, cover every single window, not giving any room for light to come into the house. Then take out every light bulb in the house and replace them with dim lights or coloured light bulbs like red, to get a bloody effect. Place lamps in strategic places to get the best effect. It is also great to get the doors decorated as well, why not try this Spider Door Curtain?

Step 2

At a party you need party food, which gives you the perfect opportunity to dress your table with the best accessories possible. Why not try a Drips of blood Tablecloth. People will instantly start wondering what they have got themselves into as soon as they walk into the room.   When setting the table, punch seems to be the must have drink on the table, so why not serve it in a Skeleton Punch Set? You could even have centre pieces such as this Skull with Brain and Worms! Really creepy!

Step 3

Now you have dressed the skeleton on the house and set the mood with some fantastic and effective lighting it’s time to hang up your skeletons. Make them a focal point in rooms with a Glow in the dark moulded skeleton and get the party mood started with Halloween banners.

Step 4

Now you have decorated your house, music has to be the next thing on your mind. Get Scary Horror Sounds CD playing in the background to really get people thinking this is a haunted house! It will really add atmosphere and complement all the decorations that you have put up. You could also draw some inspiration from the scary The Ring film and put your TV on with a disturbance channel!

Step 5

Now you have completed the aesthetics of the house, put the food on the table, light your pumpkins and mix your punch ready for your guests to arrive!
